Chapter 80: What was narrated concerning bath on Friday
باب مَا جَاءَ فِي الْغُسْلِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ
Sunan Ibn Majah 1089
It was narrated from Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said
“Bath on Fridays is obligatory for every male who has reached the age of puberty.”حَدَّثَنَا سَهْلُ بْنُ أَبِي سَهْلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ " غُسْلُ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ وَاجِبٌ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ " .
