Chapter 138: What was narrated concerning how to leave the prayer if one commits Hadath
باب مَا جَاءَ فِيمَنْ أَحْدَثَ فِي الصَّلاَةِ كَيْفَ يَنْصَرِفُ
Sunan Ibn Majah 1222
It was narrated from ‘Aishah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said
“When anyone of you performs prayer and commits Hadath, (passing wind) let him take hold of his nose, then leave.” Another chain with similar wording.حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ شَبَّةَ بْنِ عَبِيدَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ " إِذَا صَلَّى أَحَدُكُمْ فَأَحْدَثَ، فَلْيُمْسِكْ عَلَى أَنْفِهِ، ثُمَّ لْيَنْصَرِفْ " .
حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ نَحْوَهُ .
