Chapter 154: What was narrated concerning supplication for rain
باب مَا جَاءَ فِي الدُّعَاءِ فِي الاِسْتِسْقَاءِ
Sunan Ibn Majah 1271
Mu’tamir narrated from his father, from Barakah, from Bashir bin Nahik, from Abu Hurairah
“The Prophet (ﷺ) supplicated for rain (raising his hands) until I saw or one could see the whiteness of his armpits.”حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ بَرَكَةَ، عَنْ بَشِيرِ بْنِ نَهِيكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ اسْتَسْقَى حَتَّى رَأَيْتُ - أَوْ رُؤِيَ - بَيَاضُ إِبْطَيْهِ .
قَالَ مُعْتَمِرٌ أُرَاهُ فِي الاِسْتِسْقَاءِ .
