Chapter 158: What was narrated concerning the sermon for ‘Eid
باب مَا جَاءَ فِي الْخُطْبَةِ فِي الْعِيدَيْنِ
Sunan Ibn Majah 1285
It was narrated that Qais bin ‘Aidh, who was Abu Kahil, said
“I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) delivering the sermon atop a beautiful she-camel, and an Ethiopian was holding onto its reins.”حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ عَائِذٍ، - هُوَ أَبُو كَاهِلٍ - قَالَ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يَخْطُبُ عَلَى نَاقَةٍ حَسْنَاءَ وَحَبَشِيٌّ آخِذٌ بِخِطَامِهَا .
