Chapter 161: What was narrated concerning going out to the ‘Eid Prayer walking
باب مَا جَاءَ فِي الْخُرُوجِ إِلَى الْعِيدِ مَاشِيًا
Sunan Ibn Majah 1296
It was narrated that ‘Ali said
“It is part of the Sunnah to walk to ‘Eid (prayers).”حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَكِيمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ إِنَّ مِنَ السُّنَّةِ أَنْ يَمْشِيَ إِلَى الْعِيدِ .
