Chapter 37: What was narrated concerning sitting in the graveyards
باب مَا جَاءَ فِي الْجُلُوسِ فِي الْمَقَابِرِ
Sunan Ibn Majah 1548
It was narrated that Bara’ bin ‘Azib said
“We went out with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) for a funeral, and he sat facing the Qiblah (prayer direction).”حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ خَبَّابٍ، عَنِ الْمِنْهَالِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ زَاذَانَ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ، قَالَ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ فِي جِنَازَةٍ فَقَعَدَ حِيَالَ الْقِبْلَةِ .
