Chapter 11: What was narrated concerning not fasting while traveling
باب مَا جَاءَ فِي الإِفْطَارِ فِي السَّفَرِ
Sunan Ibn Majah 1665
It was narrated from Ibn ‘Umar that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said
"It is not an act of righteousness to fast while traveling."حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُصَفَّى الْحِمْصِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " لَيْسَ مِنَ الْبِرِّ الصِّيَامُ فِي السَّفَرِ " .
