Chapter 16: Wealth on which Zakat is due
باب مَا تَجِبُ فِيهِ الزَّكَاةُ مِنَ الأَمْوَالِ
Sunan Ibn Majah 1815
It was narrated from Amr bin
Shu'aib, form his father, that his grandfather said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) only prescribed Zakat on these five things: wheat, barley, dates, raisins and corn.”حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ إِنَّمَا سَنَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ الزَّكَاةَ فِي هَذِهِ الْخَمْسَةِ فِي الْحِنْطَةِ وَالشَّعِيرِ وَالتَّمْرِ وَالزَّبِيبِ وَالذُّرَةِ .
