Chapter 5: Covering (The Sin Of) The Believer And Warding Off Legal Punishments In The Case Of Doubt
باب السَّتْرِ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِ وَدَفْعِ الْحُدُودِ بِالشُّبُهَاتِ
Sunan Ibn Majah 2545
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said
“Ward off the legal punishments as much as you can.”حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " ادْفَعُوا الْحُدُودَ مَا وَجَدْتُمْ لَهُ مَدْفَعًا " .
