Chapter 22: The Legal Punishment for the Thief
باب حَدِّ السَّارِقِ
Sunan Ibn Majah 2586
It was narrated from Amir bin Sa'd, from this father, that the Prophet (ﷺ) said
“The hand of the thief is to be cut off for the price of a shield.حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هِشَامٍ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو وَاقِدٍ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " تُقْطَعُ يَدُ السَّارِقِ فِي ثَمَنِ الْمِجَنِّ " .
