Chapter 30: Making a sudden raid at night and the killing of women and children
باب الْغَارَةِ وَالْبَيَاتِ وَقَتْلِ النِّسَاءِ وَالصِّبْيَانِ
Sunan Ibn Majah 2839
It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas said
“Sa’b bin Jaththamah said: ‘The Prophet (ﷺ) was asked about the polytheists who are attacked at night, and their women and children are killed.’ He said: ‘They are from among them.’”حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الصَّعْبُ بْنُ جَثَّامَةَ، قَالَ سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنْ أَهْلِ الدَّارِ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ يُبَيَّتُونَ فَيُصَابُ النِّسَاءُ وَالصِّبْيَانُ قَالَ " هُمْ مِنْهُمْ " .
