Chapter 43: Playing Backgammon
باب اللَّعِبِ بِالنَّرْدِ
Sunan Ibn Majah 3763
It was narrated from Sulaiman bin Buraidah from his father that the Prophet(ﷺ) said
"Whoever plays backgammon, it is as if he dipped his hand in the flesh and blood of a pig."حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، وَأَبُو أُسَامَةَ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ " مَنْ لَعِبَ بِالنَّرْدَشِيرِ فَكَأَنَّمَا غَمَسَ يَدَهُ فِي لَحْمِ خِنْزِيرٍ وَدَمِهِ " .
