Chapter 12: The Prohibition Of Sleeping Before The 'Isha' prayer And Engaging In Conversation After
باب النَّهْىِ عَنِ النَّوْمِ، قَبْلَ صَلاَةِ الْعِشَاءِ وَعَنِ الْحَدِيثِ، بَعْدَهَا
Sunan Ibn Majah 701
It was narrated that Abu Barzah Al-Aslami said
"The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to like to delay the 'Isha', and he disliked sleeping before it, and engaging in conversation after it."حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، وَعَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمِنْهَالِ، سَيَّارِ بْنِ سَلاَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بَرْزَةَ الأَسْلَمِيِّ، قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يَسْتَحِبُّ أَنْ يُؤَخِّرَ الْعِشَاءَ وَكَانَ يَكْرَهُ النَّوْمَ قَبْلَهَا وَالْحَدِيثَ بَعْدَهَا .
