Chapter 11: Cupping is permissible for the Muhrim (pilgrim in Ihram)

باب جَوَازِ الْحِجَامَةِ لِلْمُحْرِمِ ‏

Sahih Muslim 1202

Ibn 'Abbas (Allah be pleased with them) reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) got himself cupped in the state of lhrim.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ أَخْبَرَنَا وَقَالَ الآخَرَانِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، وَعَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ، عَبَّاسٍ - رضى الله عنهما - أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم احْتَجَمَ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ ‏.‏

Grade: Sahih

Sahih Muslim 1202 b

Ibn Abbas (Allah be pleased with them) reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) got himself cupped and he paid the clipper his charges and he put medicine in his nostrils.

وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْمَخْزُومِيُّ، كِلاَهُمَا عَنْ وُهَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم احْتَجَمَ وَأَعْطَى الْحَجَّامَ أَجْرَهُ وَاسْتَعَطَ ‏.‏

Grade: Sahih

Sahih Muslim 1202 c

Ibn 'Abbas (Allah be pleased with them) reported

The slave of Banu Bayada cupped Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and he gave him his wages, and talked to his master and he reduced the charges, and if this earning was unlawful Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) would not have given it.

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَعَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، - وَاللَّفْظُ لِعَبْدٍ - قَالاَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ، الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ حَجَمَ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَبْدٌ لِبَنِي بَيَاضَةَ فَأَعْطَاهُ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَجْرَهُ وَكَلَّمَ سَيِّدَهُ فَخَفَّفَ عَنْهُ مِنْ ضَرِيبَتِهِ وَلَوْ كَانَ سُحْتًا لَمْ يُعْطِهِ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏.‏

Grade: Sahih

Chapter 26: For Every Disease There Is A Remedy, And It Is Recommended To Treat Disease

باب لِكُلِّ دَاءٍ دَوَاءٌ وَاسْتِحْبَابُ التَّدَاوِي ‏‏

Sahih Muslim 1202 d

Ibn 'Abbas reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) got himself cupped and gave to the cupper his wages and he put the medicine in the nostril.

حَدَّثَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ صَخْرٍ الدَّارِمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا حَبَّانُ بْنُ هِلاَلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم احْتَجَمَ وَأَعْطَى الْحَجَّامَ أَجْرَهُ وَاسْتَعَطَ ‏.‏
