Chapter 27: The prohibition of swearing oaths when selling
باب النَّهْىِ عَنِ الْحَلِفِ، فِي الْبَيْعِ
Sahih Muslim 1606
Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) said he heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying
Swearing produces a ready sale for a commodity, but blots out the blessing.حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو صَفْوَانَ الأُمَوِيُّ، ح وَحَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ، وَحَرْمَلَةُ، بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالاَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، كِلاَهُمَا عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، أَنَّسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " الْحَلِفُ مَنْفَقَةٌ لِلسِّلْعَةِ مَمْحَقَةٌ لِلرِّبْحِ " .
